‘Business as usual’ at Mamars bakery as owners seek buyer

MAMARS Artisan Bakery & Licensed Delicatessen based at The Hive in Warrington town centre is not closing down, owner Sonia has confirmed, clarifying that the business is simply up for sale to allow her to retire.

The announcement follows a misleading report that sparked widespread community concern about the future of the beloved bakery.

The decision to sell has nothing to do with rising costs or rent pressures. Instead, Sonia is ready to transition into retirement and spend more time travelling.
Sonia wants to travel in her campervan with her dogs.
Retiring was planned long ago, but letting go of her passion project proved difficult.
The shop remains open and fully operational during the sale process.
The business is located at The Hive WA1 and is being marketed through commercial estate agents Harvey, Silver & Hodgkinson.
Finding a buyer typically takes between 6 and 18 months.
The price includes ALL the fixtures, fittings, and stock.
Co-owners Sonia and Sarah funded everything themselves and have valued the business properly. Sonia believes the business is primed for a new owner with a burning desire to run a fantastic food business to step in and unlock its full potential. Areas highlighted for future growth include extended opening hours, an expanded range of artisan foods, and hosting more community events.
Sonia thanked regular customers for their influx of supportive comments and urged the community to ignore the negative press. The owners promise to officially notify the public as soon as a suitable buyer is found.
