RESIDENTS across Culcheth, Glazebury and beyond are being invited to come together for one of the area’s biggest and most anticipated annual events, as Culcheth & Glazebury Community Day returns on Bank Holiday Monday 4 May 2026.

The event is once again being organised by Culcheth & Glazebury Parish Council, working with local partners, volunteers and community groups to deliver a full day of activities, entertainment and family fun — with a vibrant World Cup-themed celebration bringing a real festival atmosphere to the village.
Visitors are being encouraged to fully embrace the theme by wearing their favourite national football team shirts and colours.
Whether it’s England, Brazil, Argentina, Germany or any nation close to your heart, organisers are hoping to see the field filled with colour and friendly international spirit.
The event will run from 11:30 am to 6:00 pm, with the main programme starting at 12:00 pm, giving families a full afternoon of activities to enjoy.
Visitors can expect over 60 stalls featuring local businesses, community groups and crafts, a wide range of funfair rides, vintage cars and tractors on display, a lively bar and food court, and family games and activities throughout the day.
For younger visitors, there will be plenty to keep them entertained, including face painting, football fun and games, donkey rides, and magic shows from Brad the Magic Man.
A highlight of the day will be the fantastic line-up of live performances on stage, headlined by a spectacular ABBA Tribute act.
They’ll be joined by the Black Eagles Acrobats, a Ukulele Band, dance school displays and a traditional Brass Band performance.
Community Day continues to be a key date in the local calendar and is made possible through the ongoing work of the Parish Council alongside local organisations and volunteers.

This year’s event has been led and coordinated by Cllr Alicia Edwards, Vice Chair of Culcheth & Glazebury Parish Council, who has been working with partners to bring the programme together.
Cllr Edwards said: “Community Day is all about bringing people together. It’s a chance for residents of all ages to enjoy a fantastic day out, support local groups and celebrate our community spirit. This year’s World Cup theme adds something a bit different, and we’d love to see people getting involved by wearing their team colours and creating a great atmosphere across the whole event.”
With something for everyone — from live music and entertainment to family activities and great food — Culcheth & Glazebury Community Day 2026 is set to be a fantastic day out.
