THE A.N.C All Stars U12 netball team from Appleton, Warrington, has been given a civic send-off by the town’s Mayor as they prepare for another big weekend as they head to Essex to represent the town in the ENG (Earned not Given) National finals.
Their qualification for the ENG National Finals sits alongside their outstanding recent victory and unbeaten run in the prestigious Manchester Thunder league to fight through the playoffs as undisputed champions, raising the cup last weekend —an extraordinary achievement in their first year entering the competition.
A.N.C All Stars is an Appleton Netball Club programme that runs alongside players’ club commitments for young athletes that want additional opportunities and play, focused on leagues like Thunder, Sisters in Sport, ENG and more.
All Stars Coach Julie Jones, said: “It’s a privilege to work with this group. They are not afraid of hard work and are extremely coachable. I’m confident that this is just the start of their success journey!”

The Mayor Cllr. Mo Hussain said: “It was a real pleasure to attend at Broomfields to meet the fantastic A.N.C All Stars U12 team ahead of their journey to Essex for the ENG National Finals.
“What these young athletes have achieved so far is truly outstanding, going unbeaten and being crowned champions in the Manchester Thunder League in their very first year is a remarkable accomplishment. You have shown incredible determination, teamwork, and commitment, and you should all be immensely proud.
“A.N.C All Stars is clearly about much more than just winning. It’s about building confidence, creating opportunities, and helping young people grow both on and off the court, and that spirit was evident throughout the evening.
“I would also like to thank the dedicated coaches and supportive parents who make achievements like this possible.
“Wishing the team the very best of luck in the finals, play your hearts out, enjoy every moment, and make your Town proud. We are all behind you!”
