SPRING is just around the corner and Penketh and Great Sankey Gardening Society is celebrating its arrival with an opportunity to learn more about one of its great joys – the Sweet Pea.
They have invited Sarah Haisley from the North West branch of the National Sweet Pea Society to speak at their next meeting on Thursday (March 5)
Sarah gives talks to gardening clubs all over the region and is extremely knowledgeable on her subject. So, whether you are an experienced gardener or just starting out on your sweet pea journey, there is sure to be something for everyone.
Penketh and Sankey Gardening Society meets at the Olive Tree, Chapel Road, Penketh WA5 2NB at 7 p.m. on the first Thursday in the month. Membership costs £15 for the year, plus a £2 admission fee for each meeting. Visitors are welcome for an admission fee of £5.
