WARRINGTON-based property asset and development management business Langtree has been appointed by Maro to manage its successful Centre Park asset in the town.
The 60-acre site, bounded by the Mersey to the east and Slutchers Lane to the west, comprises 46 buildings, including the Village Hotel and incorporates extensive landscaping.
Langtree will be responsible for managing the contractors delivering the estate management service, including paying suppliers, quality control visits, health and safety performance and occupiers’ satisfaction.
“It’s pleasing to be appointed to such a prestigious asset on our home ground, and we look forward to adding value to our client through enhanced service quality and asset performance,” said Jayne Furnival – executive director, property at Langtree.
The company manages multiple properties and estates throughout the UK for a range of institutional landlords, in addition to its well-known joint venture development portfolio with government and local authorities.
Centre Park was developed in phases from the 1990s onwards, with the majority of its office buildings constructed in the early 2000s. The scheme was designed around a large central public park with a 1.5-acre lake, landscaped paths and trim-trails and adopted highways and footpaths.
Commenting on the appointment, Chris O’Brien of Centre Park Warrington (Management) Limited, said: “Maro have managed Centre Park for over 20 years and it was very important for us to appoint replacement managers that are professional with an excellent reputation of maintaining similar estates to a high standard. We are confident Langtree will look after the Park for at least the next 20 years.”
