Independent specialist distributor Bluebay Building Products has completed a year of senior leadership appointments with the hire of Laura Beveridge as Head of Technical at the firm’s Warrington depot, reinforcing its commitment to technical excellence, competence and national growth.

In her new role, Laura will lead the technical direction of Solco, Bluebay’s own-brand range of structural, gas protection and waterproofing systems. She brings extensive expertise across structural waterproofing, gas protection and concrete repair, alongside a strong track record in leadership, compliance and industry standards.
A Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW) with multiple professional accreditations, Laura joins Bluebay at a pivotal point in its growth. Her career spans senior roles at Project Four Building Safety Experts, where she served as Head of Quality and Compliance. Laura has also held roles at Visqueen and Fosroc, giving her a rare, end-to-end understanding of product manufacture, specification, distribution and on-site delivery.
The appointment follows a series of senior hires as Bluebay accelerates its national strategy. In recent weeks, the business confirmed the promotion of Emma Ward to Commercial Director, while Managing Director Lucy Furnival, who joined just over a year ago, has led the build-out of a strengthened senior management team and rapid expansion, including new branches in Milton Keynes and Thurrock, with further growth planned in Scotland.
Commenting on the appointment, Lucy Furnival said: “Laura’s appointment is a significant step for Bluebay. With regulatory changes, and expectations around competence, safety and performance rising, our customers need technically robust, credible partners they can trust. Laura brings exceptional expertise, leadership and industry influence, and she will play a critical role in supporting our customers, our teams and our continued national growth.”

Alongside her role at Bluebay, Laura is a recognised industry figure. She sits on the Industry Guidance Steering Group, Working Party 10 for Waterproofing, in conjunction with CITB and the Industry Competence Committee, contributing to government-aligned competence standards. She has also worked with ABBE to help develop the ABBE Industry Competence Qualification, underlining her commitment to raising standards across the sector.
Laura said: “I’m hugely invested in our industry, particularly at a time when competence, accountability and the Building Safety Act are rightly at the forefront of the built environment. In previous roles, I’ve been closely involved in developing competence frameworks for both individuals and organisations, implementing Golden Thread data systems, and delivering training programmes aligned to regulatory change.
“At Bluebay, there is a clear ambition to lead from the front when it comes to such technical excellence and professional development. I’m a strong advocate for continuous professional development across all areas of a business and am excited to help shape a technical function that supports customers, strengthens supply chains and raises standards across the industry.”
Laura’s appointment further strengthens Bluebay’s commitment to technical leadership, competence and long-term value as the business continues to grow nationally and support customers in a complex regulatory environment.
