WARRINGTON’S Generate Teaching Hub – the teacher training and professional development arm of Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT) – will be showcasing its teacher training programme at the Get Into Teaching event at Manchester Central on Saturday, March 7.
“It’s going to be a brilliant opportunity for anyone interested in a teaching career to get a detailed picture of what’s involved from teacher training providers across the region, as well as representatives from the Department for Education,” said Linda Humphries, Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Manager at Generate Teaching Hub.
“We’re looking for talented and committed individuals who can become the classroom teachers – and school leaders – of tomorrow.”
To register for the Manchester Get Into Teaching event go to https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/events/about-get-into-teaching-events. For those who can’t attend there will be other opportunities to meet the Generate team at an online question-and-answer session. Information about these sessions is available by contacting lhumphries@wpat.uk.
Places are now available on Generate Teaching Hub’s School Direct 2026-27 initial teacher training (ITT) programme, a full-time, one-year, non-salaried course, with accreditation by Liverpool Hope University awarding a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Trainees can choose one of three training routes: primary 5-11 years, primary 3-7 years and primary 5-11 years with SEND (special educational needs and disabilities).
Graduates of Generate’s training programme have gone on to begin successful teaching careers, with 20 teachers who trained with Generate currently working in WPAT and neighbouring schools.
