EIGHTIES icon Nik Kershaw will be gracing Parr Hall’s stage next year as he marks 50 years ‘as a responsible adult’ with the Six in 26 tour.

The Riddle singer will be heading to Warrington on Saturday, 11 July, where he has promised the ‘hits and more’.
Nik Kershaw exploded onto the music scene as a solo artist in 1984.
A string of globally successful singles followed – including Wouldn’t it Be Good, The Riddle and his biggest hit, I Won’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me – which saw him dominate the UK singles chart for an incredible 62 weeks over around two years.
Nik also famously performed at Live Aid at Wembley Stadium in 1985 – solidifying his place in music history.
After stepping out of the limelight, Nik then found his niche as a songwriter and producer.

He wrote Chesney Hawkes’s massive hit, The One and Only, and collaborated with the likes of Elton John, Sia, Gary Barlow and Bonnie Tyler, while continuing to release his own studio albums.
A spokesperson for Parr Hall said: “Fans may fondly remember Nik performing at Warrington Festival at Bank Park in 2016 or the singer-songwriter’s last gig at Parr Hall in 2018.
“But it’s been too long since Nik was in Warrington so we’re really looking forward to hosting him again.
“We know a lot of our visitors love 80s music and Nik is exceptionally gifted performer so we’re confident it will be a great night.”
Nik Kershaw will perform at Parr Hall on Saturday, 11 July. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday at 10am. Call Box Office on 01925 442345 or visit parrhall.culturewarrington.org/nik-kershaw
