FIRE crews were called out earlier today, Monday, to tackle a kitchen fire at a mid-terraced property in Stockton Heath and a fire in a flat at Warrington.
During the early hours of this morning at 02:14, three crews from Warrington, Lymm and Penketh, were called to reports of a fire at a mid-terraced property on Leonard Street, Stockton Heath.
Firefighters were called to tackle a kitchen fire in a mid-terraced house, which had caused heavy smoke in the street. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control. Firefighters checked neighbouring properties for signs of fire spread and cleared the smoke from houses with high-pressure fans.
Paramedics assessed one person at the scene. The fire is believed to have been caused accidentally by cooking.
Then at 10:19 this morning, crews from Warrington and Penketh were called to a property on Bradgate Close, Warrington, where firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel to extinguish a fire in a flat. All persons were accounted for, and a high-pressure fan was used to clear smoke from the premises.
This is believed to have been caused by an electrical fault.
