A Warrington-based handmade craft business has teamed up with a teenager with autism to showcase his work with a collaborative set of Christmas cards.
Living with selective mutism and autism, 14-year-old Nathan-Jack knows firsthand how isolating communication challenges can be, but instead of letting those challenges define him, he’s using them to drive change—starting with the businesses and families in his local community.
Earliert this yea, to bring his ideas to life, he started working with Alternative Curiosity, a local creative business that shares his passion for inclusion.
Now he has teamed up with Yellow Tree Crafts, a cherished Warrington-based handmade business led by mother-daughter team Tracey Bolton and Beverley Chesworth has long been known for its heartfelt creations—from resin art and needle felting to personalised gifts and sublimation printing. But this season, their craft stall is carrying something even more meaningful: a message of inclusion and community care.
After discovering the inspiring work of 14-year-old Nathan-Jack, who has been designing artwork to promote inclusion and raise awareness in his local community, Yellow Tree Crafts felt compelled to support his vision. Moved by his creativity and commitment, Tracey and Beverley have partnered with Nathan-Jack to bring his designs to life—dedicating a special section of their stall and website to showcase his work and champion the mission of Inclusion Starts With Us.
One standout collaboration is a set of Christmas cards infused with both festive spirit and inclusive messaging. Each pack contains 10 A6 cards with envelopes, priced at £8.00—with a proud £4.00 from every sale donated directly to Inclusion Starts With Us. The funds raised are helping Nathan-Jack develop sensory support bags and visual resources for the community—tools designed to offer comfort, clarity, and dignity to neurodiverse individuals and families.
“We believe in crafting with purpose,” says Beverley. “Nathan-Jack’s designs are full of heart, and we’re honoured to help share his message. Inclusion should be visible, joyful, and part of every celebration.”
Yellow Tree Crafts invites the community to support this initiative by visiting their stall, browsing online, and following their journey on social media. Together, they’re proving that creativity can be a powerful force for change—and that an inclusive Christmas is a truly magical one.
