New Pesto Restaurant opens at historic pub

A NEW Pesto Restaurant has opened at Warrington’s Walton Arms.

The historic pub in Walton Village has been carefully recrafted into the latest Pesto Pub & Restaurant following an £850k transformation.
The development took nine weeks to complete and the result is a restaurant and locals bar that feels vibrant and modern while retaining the character and charm that locals have loved for generations.
Pesto has created 50-plus new jobs to work alongside existing team members who have worked at the Walton Arms previously and have now transferred to Pesto.

At the heart of the Pesto concept is a menu based around small plates of traditional and innovative Italian favourites known as piattini, meaning that guests get to experience a number of flavours in one meal and can tailor their dining experience to meet their appetite and budget. The bar area offers a familiar feel of comfy chairs, sociable spaces, open fires, cask ales and an exciting array of drinks and cocktails.
Neil and Sara Gatt, founders of Pesto Restaurants, said: “We are delighted to finally open the doors of The Walton Arms after nine weeks of closure. We’ve worked hard to respect the building’s heritage and charm, while creating a space that feels fresh, welcoming, and perfect for dining with family and friends. It’s wonderful to see the restaurant bustling with life again.”
Pesto at The Walton Arms is now welcoming guests seven days a week. Online bookings are strongly recommended and can be made at https://pestorestaurants.co.uk/book-online-pesto-at-the-walton-arms/ or guests can book by ringing the restaurant directly on 01925 262659.
