GLORIOUS sunshine helped ensure large crowds at the “biggest and best” Warrington Mela to date.
Launched by the current Mayor of Warrington Borough Council, Cllr Mo Hussain, in 2012, Warrington town centre saw a wide variety of multi-cultural activities.
Commenting on the event Cllr. Hussain said: “This year’s Warrington Mela has been the biggest and best to date, a fantastic day of celebrating our town’s wonderful culture, diversity, and community spirit. With lots of new acts, amazing performances, and a wide variety of food stalls, there was something for everyone to enjoy. It was a joy to see so many people coming together, having fun, and sharing in what makes Warrington such a vibrant and welcoming place.
“Events like the Mela are more important than ever, as they bring people together, break down barriers, and strengthen the bonds within our community. At a time when we need unity, understanding and positivity, continuing these celebrations of culture helps ensure Warrington remains a town where everyone feels included and proud to belong.”
