WARRINGTON Wolves have confirmed the departure of popular Aussie forward Paul Vaughan when his contract expires at the end of the 2025 season to join Betfred Championship side York Knights on a two-year deal.

The Club had made a competitive offer to retain Vaughan’s services for next year, but fully respects his decision to pursue a new opportunity at York. The Club is meanwhile actively recruiting to strengthen the pack for next season.
Since arriving in 2023, the 34-year-old prop forward has made 76 appearances in the primrose and blue.
The club thanks Paul for his outstanding contribution to the Wire and wish him well in his next chapter.
Paul Vaughan said in a message to the Warrington fans: “I’d like to say a huge thank you to every Wire fan who has shown me and my family love and support since we arrived in Warrington.
“They are an incredible fan base. I have loved running out with this team each week and wish the group, the organisation and the fans all the best in the future.”
