Bus company moves with the times

WARRINGTON’S 110 year-old bus company Network Warrington has embraced new technology by launching a QR code to enable smart phone users to gain access to information quickly.
The QR or quick response code, is a quick method for users of smart phones to access information.
By scanning the code using a free app users are instantly connected to Network Warrington.
Currently the first they will see is the company’s latest advert – for their price freeze – then by scrolling down other information is to hand including timetables and Facebook and Twitter feeds.
There is even a button which enables users to ring the bus company.
Managing Director David Squire commented: “ We are pleased to be able to launch our QR code, this is another example of us embracing technology and making it even easier for our customers to contact us in different ways.”

Any other organisations interested in finding out more about QR labels can contact warrington-worldwide who can provide a full QR campaigner service to use within adverts or on websites using a unique portal system and mini website app. For more details email [email protected]
