Masked men in raid on shop

POLICE at Warrington have issued CCTV images showing a raid on a convenience shop in the town.
The raid was at the Spar Shop in Howson Road, Orford, on Tuesday, March 6.
It was around 10pm, as staff were closing the shop for the night, that three masked men – one armed with a metal bar entered the store.
One of the men jumped over the counter knocking one of the female members of staff to the ground.
The staff were then forced into the security office and the offenders demanded the keys to the safe.
A member of the public, who was approaching the store at the time, disturbed the offenders and all three men fled the scene.
They ran down Howson Road towards two waiting cars, which were parked on the roundabout at the junction of Howson Road and Sandy Lane.
Detectives are currently investigating the incident and are carrying out a number of enquiries.
DC Stephen Page said: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to the incident or can offer any information in relation to the identity of the offenders to contact us immediately.
“We are also asking anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch.
“If anyone was in the area at the time and has seen the offenders fleeing the scene or getting into the two cars,then please let us know.
“Even the smallest amount of information can be useful when piecing together a case.”
One man was about 6ft 2 inches tall, slim and aged 20-25. He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a green scarf, which was concealing his face, and a dark coloured hooded top or jacket.
Another was about 5ft 10 inches, slim and a similar age with dark coloured eyes and light brown hair. He was wearing a red scarf, which was concealing his face, a dark hooded jacket with the hood pulled up and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.
The third offender was also 20-25, of medium build and was wearing a green or yellow face mask, which was concealing his face.
