MAJOR road works are to start soon at Warrington, with motorists facing up to six weeks of hold-ups.
A section of the A574 Birchwood Way, between the roundabout at Woolston Grange Avenue and the roundabout at Birchwood Park Avenue is to be resurfaced.
Work will start on the east-bound lanes only on Monday March 19.
A 30mph speed limit will also be in place as all traffic will be travelling in the west-bound lanes. In order to minimise disruption to residents, businesses and visitors, work will only be carried out Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
