Dickens of a festival!

LYMM Dickensian Festival was hailed a great success by Town Crier Peter Powell who paid tribute to all those who had helped ensure the event was “better than ever.”
“Everything went like clockwork,” said Peter, who is already formulating plans for next year’s event.
“It was a good procession, there were plenty of stalls and the rain held off,” said Peter.
“I’d say there were more people watching in the village centre than in recent years and everyone had a great time.”
He thanked Lymm Parish Council, the Rotary Club of Lymm, Lymm Lions and Lymm Roundtable for their ongoing support and also praised Warrington Borough Council for their help on road closures.
He also thanked village traders for their support.
“I’ve already got some ideas in my head for next year’s event,” added Peter.

Pictures show pupils from Ravenbank Primary School parading through the village, Town Crier Peter Powell and the Mayor and Mayoress of Warrington in their horse drawn carriage with Lymm Parish Chairman Dave Openshaw.
