Football fixtures announced as Warrington Town and Warrington Rylands set for early season local derby

THE football fixtures for the forthcoming 2022/23 Northern Premier League season have been revealed, with local rivals Warrington Town and Warrington Rylands, set to meet early on in the season.

The eagerly anticipated local derby will take place at Cantilever Park on Tuesday, September 6, kick-off 7:45pm and is sure to attract a bumper crowd as the two local rivals go head to head.

The return fixture at Gorsey Lane will take place on Saturday, January 14th.

Meanwhile, Warrington Town will welcome Morpeth Town to Cantilever Park on the opening weekend of the 2022/23 Pitching In Northern Premier League season.

The fixture will take place on Saturday 13 August, followed by back-to-back away games against Stalybridge Celtic and Belper Town.

Later in the year, the Yellows will host the newly-promoted Marine on Boxing Day, before travelling to face Nantwich Town on New Year’s Day.

Meanwhile, Warrington Rylands will kick off their season at home to Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday, August 13th, followed by a local derby at Nantwich Town on Tuesday the 16th and then another away fixture at Ashton United on the Saturday, before welcoming Bamber Bridge to Gorsey Lane on Saturday, August 23rd.
The Festive Boxing day and Easter Monday fixtures will see them take on Radcliffe.
