POLICE are looking to set up a neighbourhood watch group in the Padgate area following issues with rogue traders operating in the area.

Local officers have received a number of reports regarding rogue traders knocking on doors, in particular the Orange Grove area.

Residents are being warned to be vigilant when answering the door to people trying to sell things. NEVER hand over money or your bank details and if you feel something is wrong contact police for help and advice. Rogue Traders can be reported via 101 or in an emergency 999.

Local PCSO Neil Potter said: “I am looking for a resident/residents in the Orange Grove area that would be interested in setting up a neighbourhood watch group due to recent issues with Rogue Traders.
“If you know someone or are someone who would be interested in becoming a co-ordinator please either send me a message on here or contact me on the below email.
“Assistance will be given to the group in setting this up with ongoing support from me.
