THE first Padgate & Woolston Walking Day since 2019 saw huge crowds line the route down Padgate Lane from Station Road.
A sudden downpour did little to dampen the spirits of the walkers who were joined by Warrington North MP Charlotte Nichols, and spectators alike. Many had come prepared in anticipation of othe typical unpredictable Summer weather but the sunshine soon returned to finish the day in high spirits.
It was lovely to see all the smiling faces back at walking day after two years of disappointment during the pandemic and let’s hope it’s a resumption of this popular annual event without interruption for many years to come.
After a two year hiatus, it’s been an amazing afternoon with all the community together again for Padgate Walking Day!
All of our schools, faith groups and community groups really did us proud! A big thank you to all the volunteers & everyone who turned out to see the parade ✨ pic.twitter.com/5M0CxMLNV9
