Busy night for police as five arrests for violent crime

IT was a busy night for Warrington Police who made five arrests for violent crimes, including an assault on an emergency worker during a disturbance at McDonald’s on Winwick Road.

A 21-year-old male was arrested for public orders offences and an assault on an emergency worker following the disturbance.

In another incident, a 28-year-old male was arrested in the town centre for assaulting another male while a 32-year-old male was arrested after a disturbance at the Postern Gate Pub for assault and public order offences.

A 37-year-old male was also arrested in the Great Sankey area for a number of domestic violence-related offences.

Finally, a 43-year-old drunken male was arrested for causing criminal damage in the town centre.
