AFTER last Saturday’s shock defeat at Kidsgrove Warrington Rylands will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday when they host Glossop North End at Gorsey Lane in an NPL West fixture.
While Rylands were losing at Kidsgrove, Glossop North End were holding on to claim all three points against bottom of the table Market Drayton Town. The Hillmen raced into a three goal lead with two goals from Jamie Rainford and one from Keaton Mulvey before Market Drayton staged a comeback scoring twice in five minutes to set up a grandstand finish.
With three wins in their last six games Glossop are 6th in the NPL West Form table, one place and one point behind Rylands, in the league table they are 12th nine places below Rylands in 3rd.

For the first ever meeting between the two clubs, Warrington Rylands travelled to Surrey Street on 23rd October looking for a win which would take them to the top of the table.
Glossop took the lead in the 49th minute when Lee Wilshaw scored from close range.
Rylands grabbed an equalizer in the 85th minute when a corner caused confusion in Glossop’s penalty area and Joe Bunney stabbed the ball home from close range.
The game watched by 297 spectators ended with the points shared in a 1-1 draw.
This was one of eleven games Glossop have drawn this season, more than anyone else in the four divisions of the NPL.
Kick off at Gorsey Lane is 3pm with admission being £8 adults, £5 concessions (16-18 & 60+) £2 U16’s, plus programmes £2.
Refreshment bar in the ground serving beers, hot and cold drinks, pies, burgers and chips etc, meanwhile the main clubhouse will be open before the game with full bar facilities.
