FOUR more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital over the weekend with inpatient numbers on the rise again, although infection rates have fallen for the first time in recent weeks.
A total of 488 (676) new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed by the UK Health Security Agency in the latest daily data, taking the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 54,467 (53,979).
Infection rates over a seven-day period have fallen for the first time in recent weeks to 4,985 (5,235) – 2,380.6 (2,500) per 100,000 population which are still well above the national average of 1,919.4 (1,982) per 100,000, which have fallen slightly over a seven day period.
Over the weekend as well as four more COVID-19 related deaths, inpatient numbers rose from 91 to 99, including four in ICU, while a total of 21 patients were discharged.
