TO mark the legacy of the band’s 1980 hit album, original The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton brings his Sound Affects tour to Warrington’s Parr Hall in April 2022.
Featuring two of the band’s best-loved singles – Start! and That’s Entertainment – the record reached number two in the charts, left an indelible mark on popular music and is said to be Paul Weller’s favourite.
Now, more than 40 years on, Bruce Foxton will be celebrating the album’s legacy when his band, From The Jam return to the Parr Hall.
Led by Bruce and his long-time collaborator Russell Hastings, the group launched in 2007 as a way to both revisit The Jam’s classic songs and work on new material.
Since then they have performed around the world to sell-out crowds and reached the UK album charts with 2017’s From The Jam Live.

“Talking about passing the test of time – iconic songs like That’s Entertainment have become all-time favourites and when you go to a show like this you instantly see what The Jam’s music still means to people even decades on.”
From The Jam will be joined by very special guests The Selecter led by Pauline Black and original member Arthur ‘Gaps’ Hendrickson. Pauline is one of very few women in the 2-Tone scene.
She is often referred to as ‘The Queen of Ska’ and her band will be marking the 40th anniversary of the album, Too Much Pressure.
