TWO more COVID-19 deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital, while 261 new cases have been confirmed in the town – the highest number since mid-July, with infection rates on the rise again.
The 261 (161) new cases reported by the UK Health Security Agency, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 40,889 (40,628).
After yesterday’s brief fall, infection rates have risen again to 1,154 (1,120) – 551.1 (534.9) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period which remains above the national average of 522.2 (514.1) per 100,000, which have risen again.
While two further deaths have been reported at the hospital, inpatient numbers have remained at 29 with a further four patients discharged since yesterday.
