MOTORISTS using Warrington’s Cantilever Bridge can expect delays during a two-week period next month while work is carried out on gas mains.
The borough council is to make an order introducing a prohibition of driving on the Cantilever South West Approach from its junction with Ackers Road, Stockton Heath, to its junction with Cantilever South East Approach.
The order will come into force from January 10th for two weeks, when signed on site. Access will be under the control of the contractor.
The alternative route will be via Ackers Road, Cantilever South East Approach and vice versa.
The closure is required to allow Cadent Gas to carry out investigation works on their mains.
