Highest number of new COVID-19 cases in almost a month as 168 new cases confirmed

WARRINGTON has seen its highest number of COVID-19 cases in almost a month with 168 new cases confirmed in the latest data, although the fluctuating rates over seven days have fallen slightly after two days of increases.

The 168 (115) new cases reported by Public Health England, take the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 36,644 (36,644).

Infection rates in Warrington have risen again slightly to 766 (772) – 365.8 (368.7) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 387.1 (387.1) per 100,000, which have increased again.

COVID-19 inpatient numbers at Warrington Hospital have fallen again from 26-22 while seven patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours.
