Review of polling districts

2

A REVIEW of polling districts and places across Warrington, based on feedback received after the May local and general elections, is being carried out by the borough council’s elections team.
Residents and councillors are being asked for comments or suggestions for alternative polling arrangements.
The council is particularly keen to hear from people who live in the Orford, Westbrook, Lymm, Penketh and Cuerdley and Whittle Hall areas.
Details of existing arrangements and a map are now available to view in the Town Hall, Sankey Street.
The closing date to submit any comments or suggestions is Wednesday October 6 and proposals will be published from Tuesday October 19 onwards.
The council will then make its final decision for the new arrangements based on this feedback in December.
Anyone who wishes to make their views known should contact Electoral Services on 01925 442184 or email elections@warrington.gov.uk

  1. I guess this is a public consultation SO…..are the details of the existing arrangements and the map available for viewing ONLINE or anywhere else ? Surely more people are likely to submit comments and suggestions if they can view elsewhere at a more convenient place or time. Can’t see many going into town to the Town Hall to have a look and apart from that they would have to go during weekday working hours !….. just a suggestion 🙂
