PEOPLE in Warrington are being encouraged to don their 80s gear and “boogie on down” to help two local charities.
An 80s themed fancy dress night is being held at Pierpoint and Bryant Social Club, Latchford, on Friday October 1.
Money raised will go to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) and St Rocco’s Hospice, Warrington.
Event organisers Stuart Waldron and Chris Williams have sold 100 tickets and have just 45 left.
Entertainment includes a live band, DJ and table top magician. There will also be a raffle with prizes including a meal for two, luxurious spa treatments and three hours in a recording studio.
Stuart said: “My colleague Chris Williams and I have both been touched by the hard work both the BHF and St Rocco’s have offered close family in the past.
“My father, Ronald Waldron, had a heart attack over 14 years ago and sadly Chris’s father has also passed away through illness so we wish to give something back to these remarkable organisations who looked after our close family members so well.”
Tickets, price £4, can be collected at the club on the evening. They are also available by contacting Stuart on 07828106157.
