THE Rugby League World Cup 2021 has today confirmed dates for the tournament set to go ahead in 2022.

The RLWC2021 will now take place between Saturday 15 October – Saturday 19 November 2022.

The tournament leaders announced the postponement earlier this month following the withdrawal of Australia and New Zealand.

RLWC2021 have also announced that the opening match as well as the men’s and women’s double header finals will be played, as originally planned, at St James Park Newcastle and Old Trafford Manchester respectively.

Warrington’s Halliwell Jones Stadium was set to host three fixtures, including New Zealand against Lebanon, while the town was also set to host the Papua New Guinea men’s team.
