Firefighters tackle deliberate fire in the open at Great Sankey

FIREFIGHTERS were called out to tackle a deliberate fire in the open at Great Sankey, Warrington, shortly before 10pm last night.

One fire engine attended from Penketh following reports of a fire in the open in Whittle Hall Lane, Great Sankey.



On arrival, the crew found a fire involving wood.
A water backpack was used to extinguish the flames.
It is believed that the fire had been started deliberately.
Anyone with information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1011708.
