Recruitment specialists take on apprentices to support young people

RECRUITMENT specialists Integra People have taken on two apprentices to support young people in Warrington in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The apprentices have enrolled for Level 3 Business Administration and Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in accounting courses at Warrington & Vale Royal College.

In addition to this, a current employee will be moving from the payroll department to the finance department and enrolling on a Level 3 AAT course.



The news comes in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic where young people have been struggling to find employment in the Warrington area. Integra People are invested in creating new jobs for the area and developing young people’s careers in payroll, business administration and finance.
James Welsh, 29 has been an employee of Integra People for 4 years working as a Payroll Administrator. He will complete a 12 month Level 3 AAT course at Warrington & Royal Vale College. Along with his apprentice course, he has made the move from Payroll Administrator to the finance department as Finance Assistant, working beneath the Finance Director of Integra People.
Mackenzie Roberts, 19 is the first apprentice to join Integra People without already being employed, she will be enrolling on a Level 3 Business Administration course at Warrington & Vale Royal College. The course will take 18 months, Integra People are hoping to hire her and any future apprentices full time as Payroll Administrators at the end of their apprenticeships. The apprentices they hire in future will be under 25 years old and have no former training or experience in business administration.
“We strive towards being a supportive and successful recruitment business, with that, Integra People are proud to invest in the young people of Warrington through apprenticeship schemes,” says David Lewis, Managing Director at Integra People. “The new apprentices will help run payroll for Integra People, a vital part of the company as we have over 450 temporary workers on our payroll as a recruitment agency for the Warrington and surrounding areas”.
“It’s a great opportunity to work towards a full-time roll with Integra while getting a qualification”, says Mackenzie, “the job market in Warrington is tough, but through this apprentice scheme I’m confident it will help me progress my career in the future.”
