Four new COVID-19 cases sees lowest increase since September last year although rates rise slightly

FOUR new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington in the latest data from Public Health England- the lowest number since September 1st, although infection rates, which are in line with the national average, have risen slightly over a seven day period.

The 4 (5) new cases in the latest daily update means the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reported in Warrington since the start of the pandemic is now 17,709 (17,705).
Cases in Warrington for the last seven days, previous days/updates in brackets, are now 93 (89) – 44.3 (42.4) per 100,000 population, showing a small increase in new cases over a seven day period. This compares to the national rate of 44 (47.6) per 100,000.
