Body of missing Woolston man Geoff Sutcliffe found at Rixton

THE body of a missing Woolston man Geoff Sutcliffe has sadly been discovered at Rixton.

Mr Sutcliffe’s body was found in the Rixton area of the town at around 4pm, yesterday, Sunday 28 February.
The family of the 61-year-old, who went missing on Wednesday 24 February, have been informed and formal identification has taken place.
They are being supported by specialist officers.
The death is not being treated as suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.
Officers who had been searching for Geoff would like to thank members of the public for their support during the search and request that his family’s privacy be respected at this difficult time.
The family would also like to thank the members of the public who helped with the search and have requested that any missing man posters regarding Geoff be taken down.
