FIVE years on from the tragic loss of Warrington band Viola Beach, 12 musicians have teamed up to release their own tribute of the band’s hit “Swings and Waterslides for charity.

With the music world at their feet the band members Kris Leonard (guitar and vocals), River Reeves (guitar), Tomas Lowe (bass guitar) and Jack Dakin (drums) and their manager Craig Tarry, tragically died following an accident on their first European tour in Södertälje, Sweden on February 13, 2016.
Now 12 musicians have come together from across the town to re-record in lockdown, their own version of the Viola Beach classic, with the message “We love you. We miss you. We hope you would have loved this.”
‘Swings and Waterslides’ is out tomorrow, Friday 12th February, on the eve of the 5th anniversary of the tragedy.
All proceeds from the single will be donated to the charities of the families choosing.
