Three more COVID-19 deaths but inpatient numbers down slightly as 20 patients discharged

THREE more COVID-19 related deaths have sadly been reported at Warrington & Halton Hospitals although 20 patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours, resulting in inpatient numbers being slightly down.

Due to an issue with the processing of deaths data, the Government’s COVID-19 dashboard for 14 January 2021 is delayed.

Covid-19 positive inpatients 198 (204) of which 122 (122) are Warrington residents – of which 26 (26) are in ICU
Total number of tests (inpatients/community) cumulative – 52,302 (52,055)
Total tests with a positive result (inpatients/community/died/discharged) cumulative 3,930 (3,897)
Discharges of positive patients (excluding deaths) cumulative 1229 (1209)
Deaths of Covid-19 positive inpatients cumulative 345 (342)
*Hospital deaths include residents from Warrington and Halton. Total deaths of Warrington residents can be seen below.
*The highest number COVID-19 positive inpatients during the first wave was on 12th April with 124 patients of which 18 were in ICU.

The total number of deaths in Warrington within 28 days of a positive test reported by Public Health England is currently 340 (337) 161.9 per 100,000 population.
The total number of deaths with Covid-19 on the death certificate in Warrington reported by Public Health England is 383 (383).
