Drug-driver arrested after jumping red light

A drug-driver was arrested in Warrington during the early hours of this morning after jumping a red traffic light.

The male was arrested at 1:40 am after providing a positive roadside drug wipe. He was spotted going through a red traffic light by one of Cheshire Police’s Special Constable team who was on duty conducting plain clothes patrols.
Eight members of the Cheshire Police Special Constabulary team were on duty until 3am conducting a mixture of plainclothes and hi-viz patrols around the Great Sankey, Penketh, and Westbrook areas – There were no other incidents to report.
They will continue to conduct these extra patrols across Warrington.
