Police called in after arson attack on van

A FIRE involving a transit van at Warrington last night is being treated as arson.
The blaze was at about 8.10pm in Longshaw Street and firefighters arrived to find the vehicle well alight.
They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and were detained at the scene for around 40 minutes.
Cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and anyone with any information is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML-868571.
In another incident, firefighters were called to Padgate Lane, Warrington and used a hose reel jet to extinguish a fire in the open. They were at the scene for around 15 minutes.
