Man charged with assaulting police officers following racially aggravated incident

A 34-year-old man has been charged with four offences following a racially aggravated incident in Warrington, including assaulting two police officers.

Saban Sahin, of Leicester Street, was arrested in the Winwick Road area of Warrington at around 6.15pm on Tuesday 20 October.
He has subsequently been charged with a racially aggravated public order offence, two counts of assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
The charges all relate to an incident that occurred in the Winwick Road area of Warrington on Tuesday 20 October.
Sahin appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court.
He was released on conditional bail and is set to return to the court on Wednesday 25 November.
