THE countdown to the most colourful day of the year has officially begun, with organisers of Warrington Pride 2026 thrilled to announce that applications are now open for local performers to take the spotlight on the main stage this summer.

Scheduled for Saturday, 13th June 2026, from 12:00-19:00 at Old Market Gate, Golden Square, this year’s event promises to be the biggest and loudest celebration of the LGBTQ+ community.

To make that vision a reality, the festival is seeking high-energy, inclusive, and professional acts that embody the spirit of Warrington’s diverse creative scene and are willing to donate their time for free.

Showcasing Local Talent
Warrington Pride is more than just a party; it is a platform for the incredible talent found right here in our community. The organisers are looking for a wide variety of performers, including:

Drag Royalty: Kings, queens, and non-binary icons.
Vocalists: Solo singers and smaller acts (duos etc) ready to wow the crowd.
Dance Troupes: High-energy groups to get the audience moving.
Unique Variety Acts: Creative performers who bring something new to the stage.

“Warrington has a massive heart and even bigger talent. We want to showcase the diversity and creativity of our local community and make 2026 a year to remember,” says Drew from Drews Dirty Disco who are this year. Coordinating the day’s programme alongside the Golden Square events team.

How to Apply
Performance slots on the Main Stage are strictly limited. Interested artists are encouraged to “act fast” and submit their application via email to Drewsdirtydisco@outlook.com

Applications must include:
1. Expression of Interest: A brief note on why you want to perform at Pride.
2. Short Bio: An introduction to your act and your “vibe.”
3. Performance Clips: Links to videos, social media reels, or audio files of previous work.

A Community-Driven Event
Warrington Pride remains a grassroots community event. With only community funding and minimal private sponsorship to keep this true to this ethos.
In keeping with the spirit of the festival, all performers are asked to donate their time and talent, as no performance fees are available. This collaborative effort ensures that Pride remains an accessible and vibrant celebration for everyone in Warrington.
Help make history this June and make 2026 the loudest, proudest year yet!
