PASSENGERS on Warrington’s Own Buses have been found to be the most satisfied with their bus fares in the country following a national survey.
The survey by Transport Focus, the independent watchdog for transport users, revealed bus passengers across England have reported further improvements in satisfaction with their journey.
While overall, national value for money satisfaction fell to 63 per cent, down from 73 per cent in 2024, passengers in Warrington were most satisfied at 84 per cent.
Ben Wakerley, managing director of Warrington’s Own Buses, said: “Our passengers in Warrington and Cheshire are benefitting from low bus fares, new electric buses and all our drivers have received the latest customer service training.
“With the current increasing price of private motoring, it makes total sense to leave your car and give the bus a go”.
Bus passengers across England have also reported further improvements in satisfaction with their journey, with overall satisfaction rising to 85 per cent.
Louise Collins, Director at Transport Focus, said: “It’s great to see the basics getting better for passengers, with more reliable services and better bus stops. This year’s rise in satisfaction shows what can be achieved when governments, local authorities and operators work together and listen to what passengers tell us.”
