CONSTRUCTION machinery, commercial vehicles from collapsed Warrington company Caldwell Construction are to go on sale via online auctions between March 23 and 27.
The groundworks aand civil engineering company went into administration in January citing cashflow problems.
They employed more than 400 staff and sub-contractors in Warrington and Stoke-on-Trent.
BPI Asset Advisory is managing the auctions featuring construction machinery, commercial vehicles, and associated equipment.
The sales are being managed on behalf of the administrators, PKF Littlejohn Advisory, and major finance companies.
Caldwell Construction delivered revenue of about £58 million to March 2025, provided groundworks services to national housebuilders across the Midlands and North West.
Paul Smith, partner at PKF Littlejohn said: “The construction sector has faced challenging trading conditions over recent years, including increasing costs, delays to schemes and wider market uncertainty. These pressures were exacerbated at Caldwell, placing significant strain on cashflow and operations.”
The auctions will present an extensive range of assets across multiple categories. These include tracked excavators and articulated dumpers, tandem and trench rollers, commercial panel vans, and office and IT equipment. The sales offer an exceptional opportunity for buyers to acquire high-quality plant, vehicles, and support equipment from a nationally recognised contractor, all subject to vendor approval.
