DUE to inflationary pressures, Warrington Borough Council is set to increase car parking charges at Walton Gardens.
Walton Hall car park operates as a public pay and display car park 7 days per week for the popular visitor attraction and is accessed via Walton Lea Road, providing a parking facility for visitors to Walton Hall and Gardens.
Following a review of the current charging regime, a proposal has been submitted by Warrington Borough Council to revise the scale of charges at Walton Hall pay and display car park. Although Walton Golf Course car park does not currently charge for parking, it is proposed to revise the scale of charges in line with Walton Hall Gardens car park, although there are no plans scheduled as yet to implement them at the golf course.
The last variation occurred in 2024 and after careful consideration, a further variation has been proposed to ensure inflationary pressures are reflected in costs and maintenance since this date.
In relation to Bus and Coach fees, consideration has been given to the number of parking spaces required to accommodate bus and coach parking; therefore, the revised scale of charges is more reflective of these requirements.
The new Tariffs for this car park are proposed as follows:

Greedy. I have never parked on that car park. Always park on the road near the Walton Arms and then walk down.
I wonder 🤔 what the bus routes are like. As an old geezer shouldn’t travel by bus be promoted? I’m now doing a weekly session running up to the crem for my Warrington VIP charity challenge in the summer that will take place in the Isle of Man around the TT course and Snaefell from a place very close to Walton Hall but I too don’t use the car park. Warrington is flat as a pancake except for Walton and the Silver Pool of Culcheth but they are only pimples.
Need to police the number of people parking on the golf club car park that are not playing golf.
