Care home’s flowers, cards and sweets on St Valentines Day

WESTVALE House care home, in Old Hall, Warrington, was recently filled with flowers, cards and sweets in celebration of St Valentine’s Day.

Staff and residents celebrated the day of love by creating heart-shaped gifts to give to loved ones, They enjoyed afternoon tea and staff and residents enjoyed letting us know the things loved most.
General Manager, Sarah Jones, said: “We’ve all had a lovely day making gifts for each other and for our loved ones. Lots of our residents were able to see their loved ones either in person. We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine’s themed afternoon tea and we have enjoyed every moment of it!”

Activity co-ordinator Aimee Dyas said: “It was a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get involved with the day’s festivities. We really enjoyed making heart-shaped gifts for loved ones and the afternoon tea was a great hit with our residents and their families.”
