Man arrested on suspicion of drink driving after car collides into building

A 33-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a car collided into a domestic property at Orford, Warrington, during the early hours of this morning.

A road closure was put in place while emergency services attended at the scene on O’Leary Street.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson confirmed: “At 4.17am on Friday 13 February, police were called to reports of a collision on O’Leary Street, Warrington. Officers attended the scene and found a Black MG had collided with a building at the junction of Norris Street.
“Fire and paramedics were called to the scene, and one person was released from the car.
“The 33-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving. The man was taken to hospital, where he remains at this time.”

Firefighters used extrication equipment to remove the roof from the vehicle to access the occupant of the car and release them into the care of attending paramedics.
