A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a collision with a car near Appleton Thorn, Warrington.
The collision took place at around 4.30pm yesterday, Monday 9 February, when police were called to reports of a collision on Grappenhall Lane, near to the junction of New Lane.
Officers attended and found there had been a collision between a white Ford Ka+ Zetec and a black Honda Motorcycle.
Fire and ambulance attended the scene, and the rider of the motorbike was taken to Aintree hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. It reopened at 6 pm.
