THE Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for the Mersey Estuary at Warrington due to high tides.
Flooding is possible for: Areas at risk include Fiddlers Ferry, Eastford Road, Arpley Bridge, Knutsford Road, Howley, Kingsway North and Westy.
High tides this afternoon may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM on 04 February 2026.
Flooding is possible from 1:30 PM on 04 February 2025 at the following locations:
Fiddlers Ferry, peaking around 14:00 PM,
Eastford Road, peaking around 14:15 PM,
Arpley Bridge, peaking around 14:30 PM.
It is possible that river levels may affect Arpley Road under the railway bridge.
The Environment Agency does not anticipate the next high tide in the early hours of tomorrow morning, 05 February 2026, to meet the flood alert threshold.
They are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid using low-lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
