WARRINGTON Rylands played their third away game in a row and held a rejuvenated Hyde United to a goalless draw.
Earlier this week former Ryland’s manager, Michael Clegg, took the reins at Hyde following a run of defeats and immediately brought in new players.
Hyde, who hadn’t won a match since beating Morpeth back on 1 November 2025, were the quicker team to make an impact. A long kick from keeper Yusuf Mersin found a lonely Hyde forward but after beating Luke Pilling in the opposing goal, his shot missed the target.
Half way through the first half an injury forced Alex Kiwomya to be replaced by Charlie Munro and the threat from his speed upfront was lost.
Playing in front of nearly 600 onlookers on the 4G pitch at the Project Solar Stadium the flow of the match constantly changed direction with both sides having spells of dominance.
Ten minutes into the second half The Tigers beat Pilling again but the shot hit the post and away to safety.

Neither team could break the deadlock and the match ended with a goalless draw.
Manager Neil Reynolds described the competition as “… an enjoyable nil-nil game.”
He said: “there were times when we were in control of the ball without creating the chances that we need. We need to be more creative in the final third”.
“We’re still in the mix and we’ve got to make sure we stay there”, he said.
The next challenge will come on Tuesday evening when Warrington Rylands host Rushall Olympic in the re-arranged fixture from earlier in January. Rushall, who were beaten by a 96th minute winner against FC United, will be looking to bounce back and climb further from the relegation zone.
