The 2025 St. Rocco’s Hospice Elf and Reindeer Run saw a record 27 schools and nurseries sign up to the event, raising over £17,330 so far.

Thousands of children put on their elf hats and reindeer antlers, running laps around playgrounds and fields, and even tackling obstacle courses to raise vital funds for St Rocco’s Hospice.
Beth Allison and Lisa Cooke from the Fundraising Team had the privilege of joining a number of runs, witnessing first-hand the enthusiasm shown by children, teachers, and parents. Schools embraced the Christmas spirit with music, costumes, and well-earned Christmas dinners to follow.
Beth Allison said, “The Elf and Reindeer Run is always a highlight of our year, and this year was extra special as we celebrated 40 years of St Rocco’s. To have 27 schools/nurseries take part was amazing. I absolutely love seeing the children of Warrington having fun, whilst learning about St Rocco’s and raising money. These are our fundraisers of the future. A huge thank you to each school, pupil, and their families for supporting our patients this Christmas.”
This year also saw some exceptional fundraising achievements. Chapelford Village Primary School raised an incredible £6,059.90, while one pupil from St Barnabas Primary School raised an impressive £400 on their own, a fantastic achievement that shows just how much of an impact young fundraisers can make.

St. Rocco’s would like to say a huge thank you to each school and nursery that took part in this year’s Elf and Reindeer Runs!
These funds raised will ensure St. Rocco’s can continue to deliver wrap-around care to our patients and those important to them. This includes pain and symptom management, emotional and psychological support, therapeutic services, as well as everyday comforts including freshly cooked meals.
