A Warrington teenager is set to appear in Basketball England’s Sure Shot National Cup Finals this weekend.

Adam Cross from Appleton Thorn will be appearing in the U16’s National Cup Final in Worcester. He is a product of the Sports For All Centre in Latchford with his local league team, Bridgewater Jets, run by head coach Steve Welsh.
Adam joined Manchester Magic, one of the most, if not the most successful junior clubs in the country, over seven years ago at the age of nine, committing to training at least a couple of times a week in Manchester and travelling the country in the Northern National League. He has now become an integral part of the team, earning himself a starting 5 position.
The game on Saturday at 1.30 pm is against London Legends, having beaten London Elite in the semi-finals and St Helens Saints in the quarter-finals. Adam is currently at Bridgewater High School preparing for his GCSEs.
The Basketball England’s Sure Shot National Cup Finals is a cup competition for all the National League teams in the country at U16, boys and girls, U18 Men and Women and Men and Women. Manchester Magic has four teams competing.
